Spring Is Starting to Peep at Mosquito Hawk Farms

Spring looks closer than ever at Mosquito Hawk Farms, and that means one very exciting thing — we’ve just picked up our newest batch of chicks!

This year’s flock includes a beautiful mix of breeds we’re so excited to raise:

  • Black Copper Marans – known for their rich, dark chocolate-colored eggs

  • Easter Eggers – famous for their surprise shades of blue and green eggs

  • Calico Princess – dependable layers with lovely, light brown eggs

  • Olive Eggers – bringing those gorgeous olive-toned eggs to the basket

  • Barred Rock – classic, hardy hens that lay consistently

  • ISA Brown – excellent producers known for steady brown egg production

We’re raising these girls with care and plenty of sunshine soon so we can offer fresh, colorful farm eggs to our community. There’s nothing better than gathering a basket filled with blues, greens, deep browns, and warm earthy tones!

More Baking in 2026 🍞🥧

With more eggs comes more baking! This year we plan to spend more time in the kitchen, creating homemade goods using our farm-fresh ingredients.

We’d love your input — what would you like to see us bake more of this year?
Breads? Cinnamon rolls? Pies? Seasonal treats? Breakfast goodies?

Send us your ideas! We’re excited to grow, bake, and share even more with you this season.

Thank you for supporting Mosquito Hawk Farms — we can’t wait to see what this year brings!
